Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, India and Israel have enjoyed a strong and mutually beneficial partnership.

Over the past 30 years, the relationship between India and Israel has flourished in many areas, including trade, agriculture, water management, Defence, and security.
India is now one of Israel’s largest trading partners, with bilateral trade totaling $5 billion in 2016. In recent years, the two countries have also cooperated closely in counter-terrorism efforts.
In 2016, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a historic visit to Israel, becoming the first Indian prime minister to do so.

Celebrations were held on Gateway Of India in Mumbai on January 26th 2022, where a special logo was unveiled by the Israeli and Indian Ambassadors.
